| The Anaconda-Pintler Scenic Highway is a scenic 63 mile alternative
to I-90 between Butte and Missoula. Places to visit along State Highway 1 include
the communities of Anaconda, Georgetown Lake, & Phillipsburg, as well as the ghost
town of Granite. Things to do along the route include gem mining, fishing, skiing,
camping, hiking, boating, biking, and wildlife viewing. |

| The Bitterroot Valley Scenic Drive takes one from Lost Trail Pass on the
Continental Divide to to the Lower Bitterroot Valley at Florence a distance of 75 miles
and a descent of over 3000 feet. The route follows US Highway 93 to Hamilton where
one takes the East Side Highway through the communities of Corvallis and
Stevensville. Places to visit include the Lee Metcalfe National Wildlife Refuge, the
Daly Mansion, and Fort Owen. Things to do along the route include downhill skiing,
and cross country skiing. |
